When it comes to conjuring up nose waggling fragrances, Alfred Dunhill is no novice. And with new creative director John Ray now firmly into his stride and recent success at London Collections Men, the Mayfair based British luxury menswear house has chosen to unveil its eighteenth fragrance for men: ICON.
The stylish new scent marks the beginning of a new era for Dunhill’s fragrance category. Created by Carlos Benaim, ICON boasts more complexity in comparison with some of the labels previous offerings.
Ingredients were gathered from the travels of the dunhill man and sees ICON open with a triple hit of lavender, neroli and bergamot, anchored by masculine notes of leather, oakmoss and oud, before being finely seasoned with a dose of black pepper and cardamom.
While the juice itself is energetic and classic, the bottle is a eye catching work of art. Designed by Mark Eisen, the metallic case carries the brand’s DNA through a signature engine-turned pattern. This of course references its motor past. An eye-catching design for the new Dunhill signature scent.
