Italian streetwear brand 55DSL has teamed up with LA-based technical apparel label 686 for the launch of several new rebellious slope styles. Molding 55DSL’s action sports roots with 686’s potent design sees this innovative collection feature striking design and style, alongside meeting the demands of the slopes and its weather.
686’s exclusive infiDRY® waterproof fabric and the 55DSL signature graphics are guaranteed to keep you looking cool, even if you do have a tendency of spending more time laying flat on your ass when ‘snowboarding.’
In true 55DSL fashion, the brand has once again enlisted the support of young creative talent, with Director Stephen Agnew, who is responsible for music videos for the likes of Drenge and The Vaccines, alongside graphic artist Ruff Mercy who has previously lent his hand to projects by Disclosure and Mary J Blige.
Shot in a South-London warehouse, the 55DSL x 686 ‘Moshpit’ video marks the launch of this exciting collaboration. Turning the gaze of ultra-slow motion cameras to a wild, un-hinged circle pit, set to doomy guitar riffs and reverb-laden drums. ‘Moshpit’ is an examination of what happens when bodies collide in the midst of the heaviest hardcore punk gigs – every detail from beads of sweat to rippling guitar stings are caught in super high-definition slow motion.
