Rock and roll heavy weights, Queen of the Stone Age return to the scene with some teasers off their latest album. Judging by what we’ve been teased with so far off …Like Clockwork, about half of the ten tracks, we are in store for an incredible album. I cannot wait for it to drop on July 4th because I think we could be in store for some of their best work yet.
They have blended some of these tracks together in a fifteen minute video (see below) to really give a taster of the new album. Judging by this, the group have really honed in their style and added a much darker flavour to it. This is also reflected in the animation that accompanies it. The two really blend seamlessly together and you can tell it was designed only with these tracks in mind. It is an impressive piece of visual art we don’t see much with music anymore but this video isn’t for the faint hearted. It looks a bit like the Gorrilaz on some cruel twisted substance. Watch at your own caution, but listening is a must.
In case you were wondering, the tracks you just heard were, in order, I Appear Missing; Kalopsia; Keeping Your Eyes Peeled; If I Had A Tail and ending on My God Is The Sun. I think these guys even had some help from Dave Grohl on this album, quite the accolade in today’s rock scene.
