frappe cognac

Happy London Cocktail Week! A fitting time for us to revisit our Boss The Cocktail series (it’s been a while). In a quest to try something new, we’re celebrating with Frapin Cognac, making and drinking delicious easy-to-make cocktails.

Today’s Boss The Cocktail episode sees us present you with the perfect evening tipple. A rendition of the famous ‘Sidecar’. Let’s show you how it’s done ..

Ingredients
– 45ml Frapin 1270 Cognac
– 20ml Cointreau
– 25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

Method: Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously over ice. Serve in a glass with a half-sugared rim.

A little known fact: Sidecar, originated just after the first World War. Paris and London were really centres for bar-tending. Particularly because of prohibition in the States. Free flowing – cognac featured heavily.

Thank us later…
