Urban Edibles is a brand new one of a kind Supper club centered on carefully crafted small plates and cocktails created with foraged vegetables, herbs and flowers. Launching on Wednesday 12th August, Urban Edibles will be taking place at Ask For Janice, a quirky all-day British restaurant and bar that looks onto Smithfield’s Market.
Guests will learn about Urban London ingredients and the art of foraging on their doorstep. Guests will be able to see how foraged goods can be incorporated into gastronomy, with ingredients from London locations such as Hackney Wick, Highgate Wood to neighboring Clerkenwell gathered by Ask For Janice’s highly knowledgeable in-house staff.
For £10, tickets will include an informal tasting session at Ask For Janice with dishes on offer and one of Ask For Janice’s signature Gin based cocktails. Additionally, recipe cards will be available to be taken away to encourage culinary experimentation at home. Examples of plants in season, available for foraging will include:

Designed by Head Chef Ivan Provenzano the new menu at Ask For Janice is a modern take on British culinary nostalgia. Heavily focusing on seasonal, wholesome produce and bursting with creative elements and unique ingredients that have been hand picked, the menu features contemporary dishes influenced by retro English food.
