For those of you who are ahead of the curve, the concept of Bubble Tea is nothing new, but if you’re reading this thinking that “Bubble Tea” is some strange mix between champagne and Earl Grey then think again…and read on.

What is Bubble tea?

Originating from Taiwan, Bubble Tea is a refreshing tea-based fruit drink that can be an ice cold refresher, or a milky Winter warmer depending on the flavour you choose. The bubble part you’d think comes from the squidgy little tapioca balls popped into the drink for little bursts of flavour, but these in fact refer to the frothy top that comes after these Asian delights have been shaken, not stirred.

Where can I get one?

The first Bubbleology shop opened in Soho back in 2011, but bubble tea can now be found in shopping centres and department stores throughout London. Due to the popularity of Bubbleology, don’t be surprised to see a swarm  of people queuing outside the Selfridges or Harvey Nichols stores for a fresh Bubble brew!

Which flavour should I get?

There are lots of flavours to choose from, but Bubbleology openly shares its favourites, which are Passion-Fruit tea, Strawberries & Cream and Banoffee Pie.

Reminiscent of a school chemistry lesson, Bubbleology’s scientific theme is equally fun and tasty. With staff in lab coats and a flavour for everyone, you’re sure to find your perfect match!
