If you’re totally over Winter by now and are wishing the days away until the Summer comes, a time when London becomes fun again then read on. While we can’t promise you sunshine we can give you a little bit of Caribbean flavour to warm up your cold cockles…and you don’t even have to leave the capital, let alone the country!

Wonder up Walthamstow High Street and you’ll stumble upon the streets newest resident: Turtle Bay restaurant and bar. Providing visitors with carnival vibes, regular live music, island themed food and cocktails, Turtle Bay guarantees a good time and a memorable one at that.

Feast on the extensive menu that includes spiced pork ribs, classic jerk chicken, curries, stews, plantain and sweetcorn fritters. And then wash it all down with rum cocktails that will have you dutty winding on the dance floor quicker than you can shout “Sean Paul!”

Peckham may be the new Dalston, but Walthamstow could very well turn into the new Kingston, Jamaica thanks to this cool, new local hangout. Forget Dry January and salads, Turtle Bay grub and a few glasses of Wray rum and Ting is definitely the perfect cure for the post-Christmas blues.
