In world of too many remixes its easy to skip past them, but every now and then I come across a rendition that surprises me, and this Marvin Gaye re-work from Jimmy Q definitely falls into that category. The NYC dj/producer does a great job here, taking an old-school favourite “Let’s Get It On” and turning it into a tasty, current groovy jam. What I like about Jimmy Q‘s remix here is its ability to maintain the spirit of the original, whilst packing some new-age influences and a funky baseline. This is not just a remix, this is a celebration by Jimmy Q!
