This craft beer and BBQ joint opened at the end of the summer and has been attracting foodies/beer lovers to East Dulwich ever since. The food, cooked by head chef John Murray, has a hearty southern American feel and includes dishes like fried cornbread and guacamole, pulled pork scotch eggs and delicious smoked brisket…did we mention that the meat is smoked on the premises, using locally sourced charcoal?!
Resident beer expert Mark Sprules is also often on hand to help you pair your food with one of the many beer or cider options they stock.
Proof that beer and BBQ meat doesn’t just have to be consumed in a garden during the height of summer, The Flying Pig is definitely going to become a regular hangout for locals and meat lovers alike. With specials like the 25p chicken wings on a Tuesday and a porky themed roast dinner on Sundays, you’d be mad not to check out what’s on offer at The Flying Pig. And for those of you who still aren’t convinced about the quality of the food/drink establishments south of the river, we urge you to head down to SE22 and immerse yourself in a world of IPAs and pulled pork before you pass judgement!
