One I missed several days ago, but better late the never! Fyfe debut release had an amazing pick-up late last week, and quite a lot of intrigue to it having picked up #1 spot on HypeMachine.
Despite offering just a sentence and the back of his head initially, a few more details on Fyfe are emerging. It’s the new solo project of 23-year-old Paul Dixon, who used to record as David’s Lyre…though Fyfe was never intended as a “mystery project.” Paul was easing his way back into music gently, and didn’t expect ‘Solace’ to do anything near to what it did. Without a plugger or a manager, Radio 1 have also been on it very early, whilst ‘St Tropez’ is earning further comparisons to the likes of Miike Snow.
