Some things are just meant to be. The moment I laid eyes (and ears) on Osaka project The Neon City, I knew their electro-indie pop ways were going to be something enjoyably different. I mean anyone who describes their sound as “DTM/synth/dream/pop/electro/chill Wave/space pop/indie)” is bound to encapsulate some sort of eclectic behaviour right?
City’s new single “Wonder Of The Unknown” (below) is relatively straightforward and encompasses a darkness — but rattles nicely. While the vocals come from another room in the house, the drifting somewhat creepy sound is intreguing and I guess it’s actually a little relaxing. It might not be what you expected, but it’s a great track nonetheless. Listen below.
