Theres nothing to dislike about London-based Gent Mason, who sets his own standards when it comes to delivering an alternative Indie/R&B sound on his latest release “Better”. Mason is fast becoming more than just a newcomer, and more of a name to be taken seriously within the alternate-R&B music scene.
His latest release, of course, is timely, with the current season perfectly fitting its sound and direction. A slow paced production, dark moody and atmospheric shape, is blended imaginatively by Mason, and is only boosted by those silky vocals. A grow in popularity is on the cards, but I’m no psychic , I’m just a TinMan.
