Producer Redlight dropped his brand new EP, 36, earlier this week. At the forefront of 36 is some exciting collaborations, including those with Raekwon, Lotti and Syron on “Thunder”.
Redlight’s production work is hard not to admire on 36, his records quite simply ooze confidence, a reliable composure alongside a credible craft. “Thunder” is no different, showcasing a sultry side, some slow pad work and some almost grime sounds behind the forefronted deep and dark production. The multi-textured track sounds like a Ciara esc R&B hit.

What impresses us most about Redlight’s 36 EP is its ability and effectiveness in delivering multiple genres, all while encompassing a genuine identity. Showcasing records of different genres on one project is a tough task , but is made to look incredibly simple here. Each track on 36 showcases Redlight’s qualities perfectly, testimony that this guy could quite simply produce a hit for anyone right now. There are not limits nor boundaries.
Redlight’s 36 is out now via Lobster Boy/Polydor Records. (Purchase 36 here or stream below)
