All Aboard SS: Atlantica Ocean Liner Party Spring Voyage

OCEAN LINER PARTY

Prepare to set sail on the SS: Atlantica, on Saturday 28th May, for a chic evening revisiting the splendid era that was the 1930s. With live bands, floorshows, cabaret acts and dancing, the SS Atlantica Ocean Liner Party is Champagne drenched shimmy into the decandence of the most luxurious form travel of its time. So put on the Ritz, grab those feather boas and join us on deck for a cocktail.

This May the breathtaking Silver Sturgeon will be recreated into a cruise liner circa 1931, as you glide down the thames with fresh londonium breeze in your fur stole, the sound of water under your perfectly prepped pins and the setting sun shimmering as it plants a kiss on your martini glass! Darlings, encircle the dancefloor, admire the pristine white tablecloths and sashay to one of the two bars serving classic cocktails and Champagne, encircling a stage holding live floor shows, cabaret acts and bands.

SS Atlantica Party oozes the opulence of the history’s most romantic travel era, when cruisers were a maritime playground for the sumptuously elite. Once on board, guests are transported back in time to an age of undoubted elegance, with voyagers consistently dressed to the nines for dinner, despite the choppy waves at sea. Alite the SS Atlantica, joining the Starboard rendezvous with suave gents, lounge Portside while quaffing delightful cocktails or let loose on the dance-floor as Big Ben strikes midnight.

The evening’s entertainment offering glides you back to the 1930s, following an authentic ship itinerary from the 1930s and with adorning guests treated to the finery of diversions typical to those from the glory days. With music provided by London’s finest live bands and singers, all with suitable perfomances to evoke the true sense of the decade of decadence. Expect to be twirled round the dancefloor [think Gatsby style / Leo DiCaprio, not Uncle Len at your sister’s wedding!]

The dress code is ‘At-Sea Formalwear’: gentlemen should emulate the starched collar and immaculate dinner suit of an Agatha Christie villain and ladies can take their inspiration from the silk and fur ensembles worn by starlets of the silver screen. Think bias cut backless dresses and art deco jewels.”
