Bedlam – Let It Be

bedlam let it be

London’s Bedlam sound the way peanut butter and chocolate taste. Their music is a combination of surprisingly complementary (and delicious) elements that work so well together. There’s a silken, sultry molasses feeling to their brand of electro-soul R&B that leaves you satisfied with each track.

Though Bedlam have been swarming blogs with their smoldering take on contemporary R&B, there’s no clear indication as to whether the artist is a single producer, songwriter or collaborative project. This anonymous uncertainty surrounds their music with mysterious quality, which I think appropriately matches their sound.

The tight, simple production highlights the track’s streamlined vocals and heightens the climax of the chorus. With vocals reminiscent of Rihanna and unconventional melodic patterns similar to that of SBTRKT, I’m looking forward to future releases from this enigmatic artist.
