Connecticut artist Typax is a sixteen year old producer who is already making quality music. He creates expansive sounds with trap elements that are interesting and don’t overwhelm you.
His latest single “Relief” is a supple futurebass track with ample amounts of space between percussive hits and surprising hip-hop samples featuring old-school T-Pain and Travis Scott alike. It trickles in slowly with spacey chords and bright chimes before developing into a darker atmosphere.
It strikes an interesting balance between blissful and down-tempo sinister, a combination I’ve also seen on his previous track “Cerulean”. With soft transitions and subtle hi-hats, this chilled out track is a good one to throw on and vibe to.
