DrinkUp.London Announce London Wine Week 2016 Plans

london wine week 2016 - bars
DrinkUp.London follows up gathering 10,000 beer drinkers in February, with their next festival showcase – London Wine Week. Taking place 23-29 May 2016, this event is sure to get you swishing that wine round your chops like a pro!

Given the triumphant first year, its clear to see why the organisers at DrinkUp.London are keen to emulate the success of prior events and return to Devonshire Square with the LWW Nyetimber Hub [we’re talking tantalising sparkling wine here, hard to say no!] and as well as the bubbly there are plenty of alternative delights to sample throughout the maze of pop-ups on show.

As an LWW wristband wearer, over 125 venues across the capital will participate in wine flights, menus to compliment the fine wines on offer and special deals on corkage as well as s variety of supplementary events to celebrate London Wine Week. A key highlight of the week for us at Tinman London has to be the self guided wine-tasting – discover new grapes, wines you never new existed and sample the varieties and vintages from the comfort of London’s best bars and restaurants. Sommeliers across the capital will each create bespoke £5 tasting flights designed to compare a grape variety or region, or simply just to demonstrate the diversity of wine.

Beyond the realms of the LWW Hub, and the ubiquitous Wine Tours you can get your vino fix during a full week of masterclasses, supper clubs. pop-ups, parties, and perfectly paired winemaker dinners. So whether its the Loire Valley that draws you in or the industry legends Three Wine Men that tickle your fancy, there’s something for everyone, amateur to connoisseur.
