Hawaiian Bop Bank Holiday Party at Barrio Shoreditch

Hawaiian Bop Barrio East Shoreditch 1

Summer is sadly coming to a close, but fortunately for Londoners it’s always a vacation to a tropical destination at Barrio. Especially, when every month reaches its last Saturday and Barrio Shoreditch transforms into a Hawaiian dream with strictly 40s to 60s vinyl action for Hawaiian Bop. This bank holiday weekend, DJ Richio Suzuki will be firing up the dance floor with the best of 50s Rock’n Roll, 60s soul, Motown, Ska and Latin beats, while the Barrio bartenders will be firing up the cocktails.

Hawaiian Bop Barrio East Shoreditch 2

Hawaiian Bop is a night hosted by London DJ and vinyl lover Richio Suzuki, also regularly taking place at Peckham’s coolest haunt, The Bussey Building. Party goers at Hawaiian Bop are invited to escape the London streets, and vibe to the Hawaiian beat for a night. Dressing the part is encouraged – guests should get as down and tropical as the Barrio surroundings with their funkiest Hawaiian shirts, brightest colours and biggest flowers.

On the night you can even put your waistline to the test and take part in a limbo or hula-hoop contest. If in need of a cool off or breeze out from all the heat and festivities inside, take a step out onto the Barrio East backyard terrace or refresh with one of the most authentic Piña Coladas being served up in London!
