BOSS THE COCKTAIL: How to Make a Frozen Aviation

Our Boss The Cocktail series is heating up. So, whether you are sunning yourself on a beach or enjoying the warmer evenings of this British summer, it’s time for a cocktail (or two). This week, the Boss The Cocktail project sees us link up with Tanqueray London Dry Gin, who introduce us to a special kinda brew..the Frozen Aviation.

Here’s what the Tanqueray UK brand ambassador Tim Homewood told us..

‘The Aviation is one of those wonderful old classic cocktails which is not enjoyed nearly enough nowadays. We thought it was time for that to change and using everyone’s favourite piece of bar kit – the blender we put a brilliant modern twist on it. One of the things I like most about this drink is it’s colour…everyone loves a tongue in cheek blue slushy don’t they? ;)’

Ingredients
50mls Tanqueray London Dry Gin
25mls lemon juice
10mls maraschino
10mls crème de violette
15mls sugar syrup

Method:

#1. Add all ingredients + crushed ice to a blender.

#2. Mix for 15-20 seconds.

#3. Pour into a glass.

#4. Garnish with a lemon zest and a cherry..enjoy!
