Quintessentially British fragrance brand Jo Malone London has teamed up with designers Calm & Collected, welcoming an influx of colour and craft, for what is their first collaborative design project. Calm & Collected inject a vibrant touch, with silk-screened designs, aiding the expressive interactive purpose of the limited edition collection.
The Jo Malone London and Calm & Collected collaboration includes a range of 5 fragrances, hand printed boxes and bags with a live pop up studio in Selfridges stores. Taking place throughout May until the 15th June, Calm & Collected will become residents of the Jo Malone boutiques in Selfridges London, Manchester and Birmingham.
As part of the limited edition line, Calm & Collected has designed new graphics for the five most popular Jo Malone fragrances; English Pear & Freesia, Pomegranate Noir, Lime Basil & mandarin, Earl Grey & Cucumber and Peony & Blush Suede. The four artists/designers take inspiration from the scent combinations, using the ingredients as the starting point of creativity and delivery of a final graphic.
During the Calm & Collected residency, shoppers can visit the boutiques in Selfridges, watch the guys screen-print live, personalise your own packaging and of course purchase the limited edition fragrances. The Jo Malone London and Calm & Collected collaboration is part of The Selfridges Beauty project.
Calm & Collected (C&C), are a group of friends and artists from London who work collaboratively on art and design projects. The group is made up of illustrator Adam Bletchley, muiltidsciplinary artist and designer Alex McCullough, typography specialist Chris Mackenzie, and designer Donal Sturt.
