O’Neill host Sochi men’s half pipe snowboard final @ Far Rockaway

I can’t remember a year where there has been such a buzz surrounding the Winter Olympics. Sochi really grabbed the attention of the masses, with everyone following the proceedings. So when TinMan London was invited down by O’Neill to watch the men’s half pipe finals, we couldn’t wait to get involved in the action, and what better place to watch it!

O’Neill hosted the event at Far Rockaway; an NYC inspired bar and restaurant, smothered with street art, hinting towards urban culture, set in London’s creative district, Shoreditch. We entered into an environment busy with snowboard fanatics, all keen to watch the finals, surrounded by similarly minded people, with tasty 18-inch pizzas on the go.

Even though there were not any British riders who made it through, the final climaxed into an event full of surprises from start to finish, and for the first time in eight years, the halfpipe gold was hanging around the neck of someone new. The atmosphere created was infectious and we were certainly at the best place to watch the halfpipe final!

Thank-you O’Neill and Far Rockaway
