“AMERICAN ALFRESCO STYLE DINING” – HONKY TONK CLAPHAM

outside2

Building on the success of Honky Tonk in South-West London’s Chelsea, the American-style restaurant now brings its tasty menu and alfresco style dining to the streets of Clapham. The new relaxed open and airy restaurant seats over 100-burger loving diners, alongside regular showcasing of live music and major sporting events.

Discovering what all the fuss is about is incredibly simple, the Honky Tonk menu is quite possibly food heaven!

First things first, a drink is always in order. The Honky Tonk drinks menu is far and wide, offering everything from a cool cocktail to an ice-cold craft beer, wine and of course soft drinks.

Honky-tonk-2

If like me, you’re hungry “all the time”, then you’ll welcome the substantial meal sizes that Honky Tonk offer! Starter options include, bbq or peri peri flavoured wings, New England crab cakes, smashing nachos, potato skins or tender glazed bbq ribs. However with portions on the generous size, you may want to consider the meal ahead. Maybe you’ll decide to share a starter with friends or if you’re a total wimp then skip a starter altogether, and head straight to a mains menu!

The star of the show is Honky Tonk’s main menu, in particular the infamous “Honky Tonk” burger, which comes fully loaded! The 7oz burger is topped with cheese, bacon, caramelized onion, guacamole, salsa, lettuce, tomato & burger sauce. Served in a brioche bun alongside rosemary fries. If a burger doesn’t tickle your (pork) belly then other tempting mains include the vegetarian friendly Halloumi burger, a smoked chick cobb salad, the not’ fried chicken and the tender glazed pork or beef ribs.

Whilst many of Honk Tonk’s diners might typically skip the deserts menu, falling victim to the meat feast they’ve just experienced, a desert at Honky Tonk should not be frozen out of thought! To finish off the ultimate dinner, sweeten the tooth with the choice between Honky Tonk apple pie, Mississippi mud pie, frozen yogurt or homemade waffles! D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!
