Miguel keeps things simple for his latest release, an offering from the Girls Vol. 2 soundtrack. “I just want the simple things,” the R&B star sings throughout his “Simplethings” record, over an electric guitar melody. It’s not his best work lyrically, but after writing songs like Beyonce‘s “Rocket,” Miguel doesn’t really have to prove anything to us as a songwriter.
