LONDON PRESENTS THE EL TRAIN @ THE HOXTON HALL

the-el-train

Christmas is a time of year which motivates people to explore their cultural alter ego. We are flooded with endless opportunities to indulge in over-priced west-end productions, in order to satisfy our aesthetic guilt, just so we have something to brag about at the numerous social occasions we have to attend in the festive season. However, while we ultimately rely on the adverts at the back of a newspaper, we can often fail to find alternative production options.

Just Opened London and 31 productions have collaborated to present an exclusive, one run only, substitute to the mundane London offerings. The El Train throws its guests back to the pre-prohibition era of 1910s New York, set in the fitting Hoxton Hall. The venue has been transformed into a nostalgic destination, taking you away from modern London to make sure your encompassed into the world of the production in question.

The night brings you 3 short plays written by the acclaimed Eugene O’neill and directed by Sam Yates and Ruth Wilson. They take on the themes of heaven and hell, and of sin and redemption to provide a theatrically intense production. Your night does not end here as we are invited to their very own watering hole where one can enjoy hard liquor and live music, mirroring the scenes found in backstage New York. Definitely an experience not to miss out on, book your tickets here and head down to Hoxton Hall to enjoy the show and a cocktail from the saloon.
