Shlohmo – Laid Out [EP]

After a lot of anticipation, Shlohmo, has finally dropped his new five-track EP, ‘Laid Out’ and this American producer does experiment with a lot of new sounds and textures on the new album.

This shouldn’t scare his long time fans because, being a highly talented producer, he is merely evolving his sound, and I think for the better.

The only fault from the new album is that it is only five tracks long. This said, they are quite the five songs, each a very decent length and not one disappoints. They are five classics straight off the bat. Prior to releasing the album, Shlohmo teased his fans with ‘Don’t Say No Feat. How to Dress’ probably because this is an excellent benchmark for the whole album. The distorted vocals on this track are the main feature of the album and he uses them to great effect. Each track is just fantastic listening and if you feel like it isn’t enough, just hit repeat.
