The Hics are a six-piece from my side of town, South London. Their brand new record titled “Cold Air” is self-produced and a very mature sound, which feels inspired by the likes of The Invisible, James Blake and Jessie Ware.
Whilst this tune, “Cold Air”, serves as their first proper release, The Hics are already on the right radars, having been runners-up in Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards last year, without even releasing a single. They play their first London show of the year – Hoxton Bar & Kitchen – on March 20th!
